Known for its International law courses, NYU Law opened floodgates for diversity of experiences. Students from almost every part of the world discussed perspectives on laws and human rights issues. I learnt to identify root causes behind human rights violations while appreciating intersectionality of issues.
As a graduate editor for the International Law and Politics Journal and leader of the Immigrant Rights Project at NYU, I had the opportunity to engage with a diverse student population.
Through my experiences at NYU Law, I developed the ability to effectively present and analyze my work, understand the international ramifications of legal issues, and navigate my role as a foreign-trained attorney in a new country. The diverse student community and opportunities provided by the school reinforced my passion for using the law to effect positive change.
